WELLSPRING STRENGTHENS EDUCATION BY EQUIPPING SCHOOL COMMUNITIES
Significant progress has been made in Rwandan education since Wellspring first began in 2004, with more children than ever now attending school. Yet today, many children struggle to complete their education, to thrive in school, and to build the skills and character they need for the future. School dropout rates are high, family support for education is often lacking, and mental health challenges are on the rise among Rwanda’s youth.
In this context, Wellspring provides a holistic program of training, coaching, and in-school support designed to equip whole school communities to rally around, educate, and nurture their children and youth.
Through training in social-emotional learning, student wellbeing, leadership skills, building healthy cultures, asset-based community development, family coaching, child protection, and more, we are investing deeply in the lives of those who are teaching, leading, and raising Rwanda’s younger generation:
