What is an Education Ecosystem?

Quality education relies on a network of empowered, engaged, and mobilized individuals, each playing their part to support every child’s learning. It’s from this fact that the term Education Ecosystem was created.

Education Ecosystem is a concept that emphasizes the connection and collaboration between the stakeholders—school leaders, teachers, and parents—involved in supporting students and the provision of quality education. Like a natural ecosystem, each of these stakeholders plays a unique and complementary role. Each also enables the others to fully embrace and step into the unique part they play.

The Education Ecosystem sees each stakeholder as equally important. It values each stakeholder and the part they play, along with their contribution to the common goal. Without each part playing its unique role to the best of its ability, students lack the full support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

It Takes All Of Us

By providing training for each of these unique actors in the Education Ecosystem, Wellspring is working to see school leaders modeling servanthood and advocating for quality education, teachers lead their classrooms with confidence and encouragement, and parents actively involved in supporting their children’s learning both at school and at home.

Because when everyone involved in school communities understands their—and each other’s—inherent value and worth, as well as their unique role in the education ecosystem, transformation and the implementation of quality education is truly possible.
